2PointScale is an intuitive script for Autodesk 3ds Max that allows you to instantly and accurately scale any 3D object, blueprint, or reference plane using just two points. No more calculating scale factors manually: simply specify the real-world distance of a segment, and the utility perfectly adjusts the model to the correct dimensions.

How it Works 
Step 1. Pick the Object
Click the "1. Pick Object to Scale" button, then select the object you want to resize in the scene. The script will lock onto the model and display its name on the button.


Step 2. Place Point A (Start)
Click "2. Pick Point A". Hover your mouse over the object — the adaptive yellow crosshair will snap precisely to corners and vertices. Click to set the starting position.


Step 3. Place Point B (End) & Ortho Mode
Click "3. Pick Point B". If working in a flat 2D viewport (Top/Front/Left), toggle the Ortho Mode checkbox to lock the line perfectly straight. Click the second vertex — the script will instantly display the measured distance.


Step 4. Enter Dimensions & Scale
In the "Real size" field, type the actual known length of the measured segment. Choose your desired scale units from the "Units" dropdown (e.g., inch, mm, m), and hit the green "Apply Scale" button. Your object is now perfectly scaled.



Compatibility: The script has been thoroughly tested and is fully compatible with 3ds Max 2017, 2020, and 2022.
